Excellent performance from the Under 15 side last night against Aston Rowant. Unfortunately the other side’s size and skill were just a little too much for us.

Batting first we reached 88-6 from our 15 overs, captain Joe Elliott reached 48 before falling in the final over. Some stunning shots and really showed his class.

Tom Kitchin batted with fantastic application and stuck with Joe for a good chunk of time, he even hit arguably the best shot (straight drive between bowler and mid off) of the innings.

Jake Mackay proved what a promising young talent his is staying unmoved and unfazed by the opposition’s bowling attack which included an Oxon U14 opening bowler.

Unlike Aston Rowant we shared the bowling around to show there’s no ‘I’ in team and Clemmie, another U15 debutante, showed her control with the ball. Will Bates and Josh Nelms showed potential with the ball, and with some more time in the nets under their belt could prove to be very useful bowlers.

Rowant reached our score for the loss of 0 wickets in just over 8 overs. Deserving winners in the end, but must’ve been very disappointing for their 5 team members who didn’t bat, bowl or wicket keep….
