Jack Brooks made it third time lucky at last night’s Oxfordshire Sports Awards.
The England Lions cricketer, who started his career with Tiddington, had twice before made the shortlist.
But he saw off Bradley Smith and Zac Payne to land the sportsman of the year honor after helping Yorkshire to a second successive County Championship title.
Congratulations also go to Rupert Evans who won the lifetime achievement award after 40+ years with the Oxfordshire cricket board as a player and coach.
