Our thoughts are now turning to our summer programme and as advised by Paul, there will be a signing on night on 31st March at 7pm.

This is an ideal opportunity for players and parents to come along and meet the coaches and other Club members.  The number of places available in each age group are limited.  This is to ensure that we can deliver high quality coaching sessions and that youth members have a reasonable opportunity to participate in matches.

In the past we have had a large number of applications for the younger ages groups and if they become over subscribed, we will give priority to existing members signed up by 31st March.  After this it will become open to new members.

We have been successful in being able to nominate 7 girls and 12 boys into the Oxfordshire Cricket County player pathway and they are enjoying winter training at the present time.

We have a highly qualified coaching team who give their time voluntary:

Emma Boswell – Level 2 -, Director of Women’s and Girls’ development for Oxfordshire Cricket, Lead coach County Girls U11 ex Captain of Royal Navy Ladies team.  Lead Coach Friday eveings

Alan Maule Level 2.5 – Lead Coach for County Boys U11 – lead coach Thursday evenings

Will Goodman Level 2.5 –  Coach for County Boys U11

Neil Pickup Level 2.5 – Lead coach County Boys U10

Cally Evans level 2 – Coach County Mercia Development squad U11

Lucy Gladdy level 2 – Coach County Girls U15

Nick Edmondson – level 2 Coach

Phil Manning level 2 Coach

Lesley Pykett Level 1 Coach, County and Club Welfare Officer.

Plus many other support coaches and young leaders. All coaches have current DBS and have First Aid and Child Protection certificates.

We believe we can offer excellent coaching in small groups and can add specialist coaches as the need arises making us the best resourced Club in the area.

We also also have

Ben Smith, Max Smith, Charley Noble, Ellie Noble and Ed Stapley undertaking their Level 2 qualifications next month

with Rob and Michelle Richardson , James Coleman, Chris Groves and Rob Peers taking the Coach Support Worker Course.

We have entered teams in the following leagues Under 9/11/13/15 and with U15 starting on 24th April,  and other matches the following week, To run the matches we need parental support at all age groups,  by way of organising a team for a match, refreshments, scoring, We have coaches to assist on the night.  Without the support, we will NOT be able to run matches, so please let us know where you can help as we do not wish the children to miss out on matches.  We are happy to run a short scoring session if required.

Outdoor training will start on Thursday 20th April 6- 7 30 for Secondary children and Friday 21st 6 15 to 7 45 for Primary age groups and run to the summer holidays.
